Alpine Conservatory

There’s a whole world of high altitude plants that grow where the air is thin and the air is frigid—these are alpine plants. Our Alpine Conservatory won’t be heated like the other conservatories, rather it’ll be cooled to ensure that maximum temperatures stay below 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Alpine plants are often small, drought tolerant, and extremely cold hardy, so they’ll be housed indoors to avoid our hot summers.

Up Close and Personal

The best way to view miniature plants is from eye level. This glasshouse will feature a subterranean walkway that puts the alpines right where visitors can easily see them. See how life survives in some of the coldest and least hospitable regions of the world and inspect how plants have adapted over the millennia to thrive.
