Conservatory Complex

Our indoor facilities will be the first of their kind in Oregon, featuring 5 connected, climate-controlled conservatories. Each glasshouse will mimic the conditions of a distinct biome that differs significantly from our own. Our glasshouses allow visitors to immerse themselves in the sights, sound, and fragrances of faraway places. Imagine walking from Borneo to Colombia, and feeling like you’re actually there.

State-of-the-Art Engineering

The climates in the conservatory complex will be controlled using the latest advancements in technology, which will allow us to maintain the correct humidity and temperature needs of the collections inside. The 5 distinct sections of the complex will be separated by transition hallways that prevent large changes in conditions when visitors walk through them.

Iconic Design

We’re working with a few local engineering and architecture firms to design an iconic structure unlike anything else in Portland. Our architects will integrate cues and shapes from our surrounding space to create a one-of-a-kind building that fits and flows with the skyline.

Early Sketches

Geographic Regions

Our indoor collections will be divided into the following climates:
